Professor Gorby has taught second year undergraduate
studio, fifth year thesis design studio, design
communication media, research methodologies and
architectural theory (with an emphasis on urban theory). Her research interests have focused mainly on design, history and theory in the built environment.

Current research projects include the interpretation of sacred urban environments ranging from American Shaker villages to the neighborhoods of Belfast, North Ireland. She has also been a curator and primary researcher for a modern American chair exhibition that focused on the relationship between innovation, technology and design.

Research Interests: Design theory, urban history, and gender studies.
