  • The following grants have all supported various phases of the on-going project:” Structures of Memory: The Architecture of the Mnemonic Method of Loci,”  a study of the mnemonic function of architecture.
  • Faculty Research Fellowship, The Institute for Arts and Humanistic Studies, (funded $2,500).  Research conducted at The Warburg Institute, The University of London, Summer 1991.
  • Faculty Research Support, The Penn State College of Arts & Architecture (funded $2,000)  to support on-site research in Rome while on teaching assignment for the Department’s Program Abroad, Fall 1992.
  • Penn State Fund for Undergraduate Education, (funded $9,000)  for on-site research in Rome with a team of interdisciplinary, undergraduate research assistants, Summer 1994.
  • Faculty Research Support, The Penn State Office for Undergraduate Education (funded $3,000),  Summer 1994.
  • Faculty Research Support, The Penn State Institute for Arts & Humanistic Studies (funded $1,000),  Summer 1994.

  • Ancient Mysteries, Television Series produced by Greystone Productions for the A&E Network.  Commissioned to create 10 historical re-construction drawings for various documentary programs on the ancient world, 1995-96.
  • Philip’s Granary - A Coloring Book.  Published by Philip’s Granary, a nonprofit, international service organization.  30,000 copies distributed, to 8 countries and published in 11 languages, 1996
  • Church Building Spaces: Architectural Guidelines (with Doug Hoffman, author), published by the General Board of Glob al Ministries of the United Methodist Church, New York, 1997.
