  • Bachelor of Architecture
    The Department of Architecture is a member of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board.  The major provides for the education of architects at the professional and pre-professional levels.
  • Bachelor of Science
    The pre-professional program (ARCBS) is a four-year curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Architecture requiring 135 credits.

Graduate

  • The Graduate Program
    The Department of Architecture at Penn State offers graduate studies in architecture with three distinct options: Architectural Theory and Design, Community and Urban Design, and Digital Design.

Summer

  • Arch 101
    This course introduces students to the basic concepts and methods of architectural design.  The fundamental techniques of architectural communication and representation, such as sketching, drawing and model building, will be introduced and explored.
  • Architecture Summer Camp
    Penn State Department of Architecture hosts an annual Architecture/Landscape Architecture Summer Camp during the summer. The program provides campers the opportunity to utilize the new facilities of the Penn State School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and be mentored by faculty, alumni and experienced undergraduate students.

Study Abroad

    In Rome, Penn State's Department of Architecture offers a full year (fall and spring semesters of 15 sem/crs. each) of academic courses at the fourth year level of a five-year Bachelor of Architecture program.
